Welcome to by travel blog. My name is Terri, and I’m a Travel Addict.
I love to go places…often. It’s as simple as that. I’m a regular person who likes to do regular things, with an occasional splash of adventure. Regular things for me mean, visiting museums, checking out historical sites, and recuperating on a sunny beach or on a cruise ship lounge chair with a chilled drink. The splash of adventure includes activities such as snorkeling, zip-lining, racecar driving, and skydiving. I also enjoy the odd tourist activity such as an urban Big Bus Tour, climbing ancient jungle pyramids or hanging in the seedy side of town where the locals congregate.
When I first started traveling, it was strictly for leisure and my destinations were limited to the “typical” tourist locations such as Hawaii, Jamaica and Las Vegas. However, a new job as a Manufacturers Rep had me traveling an average of 50K flight miles a year (domestically). That was the beginning of my travel addiction, and my long standing relationship with airports, long term parking, rental cars, and hotels. That was 15 years ago.
Now, I travel for fun, and I love it!! My love of travel and photography, along with my love of “telling people about stuff” lead me to want to share my travel adventures.
Simply put, I don’t “sell” destinations or products. I share great information, and tips about the destinations I visit. My travel tips are based on real life experiences. I try to keep it positive, and the negatives are turned into travel tips.
If I write about a pair of great travel sandals, that is because I’ve been wearing them for years, and I must share how great they are. This is why you don’t see a lot of “reviews” on this site. However, if I stay at a hotel that is unique, that I just loved, to me that’s worthy of a mention.
I hope you enjoy reading about my travel adventures, and that you’re able to take away something.
